2. Get Your Students Excited! Let Them Know They’re Receiving a Special Gift That Will Help Them Become Stronger Readers

Tell students you have a special reading gift just for them! Have students open their packs at the same time (Count down: "3, 2, 1... OPEN!"). Give students time to explore their new books.

Provide each student with:

A letter from the Iowa Department of Education
One Take-Everywhere Literacy Pack (or both if schools choose to send them together)
Family and Caregiver Letter
