Targeted Phonics Support
Just Right Reader partnered with Houston ISD to examine the effectiveness of delivering data-driven, high-quality decodable books for targeted phonics practice at home.
The study showed that the 100 second graders using Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs™ achieved accelerated reading growth in just six weeks, and outperformed their peers.
Fulton County Schools partnered with Just Right Reader to address literacy gaps in 11 low-performing schools.
Pre-K—5th grade students received eleven rounds of Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs™ every 2-3 weeks. These packs included books and video lessons for at-home practice, strengthening school-family partnerships.
The school participated in Just Right Reader’s Science of Reading Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs™ Pilot, a program providing three rounds of specially curated sets of decodable books using assessment data.
